INDICATORS are a 3 Piece, lyrical punk band fronted by Simon Dinwiddy, generally a young man far removed from the prerequisite trustafairian, Home Counties and well connected credentials that seem to be required for punk bands in these modern times.
With Nino Vydeenaden on bass guitar and Richard Mayberry playing drums THE INDICATORS were formed out of some of the most basic ingredients which started punk in the first place; boredom, poverty, lack of direction and a genuine need to escape. Their songs are funny, honest and terse, describing the dilemmas and minor victories of living in a seaside town in recession hit 2012.

Simon D is a punk Jamie T and Mike Skinner wrapped up in chip paper with a few scraps on the side. The band opened their stall in August 2011 with the insanely catchy £1.99, a two minute celebration of the High Street, ending with the finest chant of ‘down the pub’ since Sham ‘69s ‘Hurry up Harry.’ It, beyond anyone's believe, picked up decent support at Radio One, XFM and the 6Music. The release was backed up with ‘Fashion accessory’ and ‘Drinkin’ On My Own.’

A second single, ‘Simon D’, was released on February 6th 2012 as a download and yellow 7" vinyl in clear sleeve.
Their Album is out some time in 2012. The songs are produced by Dave m Allen of Cure, Wire, Depeche Mode fame.
